2026-2027 School Year Traffic Flow

Thank you to all parents for your patience and understanding with traffic during arrival and dismissal. Please expect delays for the first couple of weeks, especially during dismissal time.  Each parent is eager to see their child at the end of the day and as much as we want to rush through the line, the main goal is that students are dismissed safely to their caregiver. Please be cautious, respectful, and kind while driving through our school zone. We are an Independence community and let's set a good example for students to follow. If something occurs that upsets you to the point that you are cursing or cutting off another driver, please remember we are around children. This is not something we want our students to see. Please plan for delays to help minimize frustration while waiting. Please do not park on Windhaven to drop off or pick up your child as this is an active roadway.
