Get Involved — Volunteer!

When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved!  Your help is needed!  Complete the Volunteer Interest form and we will be in touch with you. 

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR Independence PARENT & COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS-

LISD has implemented a new system, VOLY, for managing volunteers. Please visit their website HERE to set up your account and begin the background check process. Background checks can take a few weeks to complete so if you plan to volunteer we recommend you go through this process ASAP.

There are many opportunities for you to volunteer and be involved at your student's school. Jobs range from helping out during kindergarten lunch time opening food items, to shelving books in the library, to our popular DUDES program, to being on the PTA board. Be on the lookout for links to sign up!
